Students look forward to movies that come with each new season.
“I’m really excited for the new Jurassic World movie that comes out in July,” Chelsea Young, sophomore, said. “It’s apparently supposed to have completely different characters, so I’m interested in what they’ll do with the story, and if it’ll be as good as the past movies.”
“I’m also really excited for The Conjuring: Last Rites to come out,” Young said. “The Conjuring is my favorite horror series of all time. The last one that came out is my current favorite of the series, but I’m hoping that will change once Last Rites is out.”
“This movie called 28 Years Later comes out this year,” Annabeth Shadrick, sophomore, said. “The trailer for it got really popular on TikTok because of how creepy it sounds, so I’m curious if the movie will live up to how disturbing the trailer is.”
“Wicked: For Good comes out in November, and I couldn’t be more excited,” Hannah Ross, sophomore, said. “I absolutely loved Wicked when it first came out. I really hope that the second part is just as good.”
“I’m actually looking forward to Zootopia 2,” Addysin Martin, sophomore, said. “Zootopia was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, and I never thought it would get a sequel. I’m hoping that the second movie follows the same theme as the first one. Zootopia had a lot of metaphors for the problems that we as a society face in the real world, so it’d be really cool if Zootopia 2 followed in the same direction.”
