Vegetarians are people who refrain from eating meat, poultry and seafood.
Health risks, like diseases, can be weakened and even eliminated by being a vegetarian which can lead to a longer life.
“I think it is better to be a vegetarian because it is healthier, food wise especially,” Marley Driggers, sophomore, said

“Vegetarian food is better and leads your body to a healthier and stronger place; especially if you workout, it will help your body tremendously,” Jacob Robertson, freshman, said.
Other students disagree with the idea that vegetarianism is better.
A plant-based diet could endanger the risk of insufficient protein, vitamin, and mineral consumption.
“People who eat all vegetarian food do not get as much protein as people who don’t; you need the protein certain foods like meat has,” Payten Roach, sophomore, said.
“I don’t think that vegetarian food is good nor healthy, meat tastes better and contains more flavor,” Kervon Tolliver, sophomore, said. “You most likely won’t get all the good nutrients your body needs if you’re just living off vegetarian food.”
