This school year has almost come to an end; for some students it is their last year in high school.
Good and bad memories have collected over the previous four years.
For some, sports events have been fun memories.
The games often are filled with enjoyment and excitement as the school goes against a rival team.
“I have fun at all the games, but I would say that football is my favorite because we can ‘dress a theme’ at the games, and then the band starts play and all of your friends are there, and it is just a really good time,” Emily Kistler, senior, said. “I think that would be one thing that I would miss would be the Friday Night Lights.”
Another great memory is time spent with friends in class.
All students typically get their class schedules around one or two weeks before school, and then the students will talk to their friends to see what classes they have together.
“I love it when all the odds are on your side, and they put you are all your friends in the same class,” Kennedy Hanks, senior, said. “It does not happen that often and it is even better when it is in the third block because that means that we all have lunch together.”
The best but last thing that happens on the school day is hearing the 3:07 p.m. bell ring.
“I think when the last bell goes off, I will be excited to hear it, but it will be a little upsetting because that really will be the last time,” Alexandra Smotherman, senior, said. “I think that it will be a good leap for everyone to explore the next chapter in their own lives, and I cannot wait to start my own.”
