Relationships can either make or break you during high school.
High school relationships can provide personal growth even if they don’t last forever.
“I feel good about high school relationships because I’m in a great one,” Jada Wright, freshman, said. “I think my relationship will make it after school because I know we understand each other and feel as if we will grow together.”
“Relationships can work out after high school because any relationship can as long as y’all both want it,” Cole Estep, sophomore, said.
“When I was in a relationship, it benefited me by making me more in touch with my emotions. It made me have more empathy by understanding different perspectives,” Saniyah Polk, sophomore, said.
Some students feel high school relationships are purposeless.
“Having relationships during high school is negative in my opinion,” Cole Ferrell, sophomore, said. “Teenagers usually aren’t mature and have wandering eyes, so that typically leads to one of them cheating.”
“I think if you date in high school it’s meaningless because we’re all young and don’t really understand the concepts of real relationships,” Bella Harris, freshman, said.
“Relationships are unpleasant at this age because there are too many teenagers that sneak around during their relationships,” Taaliyah Calloway, freshman, said. “They usually sneak around because teenagers don’t communicate well and that leads them to be sneaky.”
