Many things make a great student but the utilization of certain high school sources can catapult a person to a successful advanced education.
Many students feel like school and studies are a waste of time, but others say otherwise.
“I think that school prepares you for more work than actually the education,” Ethan Jacobs, sophomore, said. “I feel like the things that we learn are just repeated every year, and we don’t learn anything new.”
Other students think that being in high school helps them with their future education goals.
High school has classes that are equivalent to college credits.
If a student is planning to go to college after school, advanced classes can be extremely helpful so that students do not have to repeat the classes and pay for them, unlike high school.
“I think that your education is the most important thing that you can get,” Kennedy Hanks, senior, said. “It can help you get a job when you are out of school, and if you choose to go to college it can help you finish your education sooner.”
Some people think that high school is useful in some ways and others not.
Classes can help you learn the things that are actually used after high school like: business management, personal finance, independent living, introduction to wildlife, and some English classes.
“Some classes are pointless, but others actually helped me learn what I needed to know,” said the junior. “I think classes that help with finance and how to write certain things are helpful, but when teachers tell students to solve a letter in a math question, I just do not see it being useful and have not found it useful yet.”
Every student needs to have some type of education in their life to be successful.
