Students enjoy entertaining movies that are still appropriate and educational for school.
“‘The Lorax’ has always been my favorite movie to watch in school,” Chelsea Young, sophomore, said. “It’s a really funny movie and it still has a good message that has to do with science. It has themes about deforestation and pollution, and it teaches kids about the negative effects of these things while still keeping them entertained.”
“‘National Treasure’ is my absolute favorite history movie,” Addysin Martin, sophomore, said. “It’s got suspense, stakes; it keeps you on edge, and it’s funny. It also still manages to teach a lot about history and the Declaration of Independence. It’s just an all around perfect movie for school.”
“We watched ‘Coco’ in Spanish, and I pretty much fell in love,” Hannah Ross, sophomore, said. “I learned a lot about culture and different traditions that happen in Spain, and it was also a really fun movie to watch. It was kind of emotional too. It was just a really sweet movie.”
“We watched this kind of old movie called ‘Dante’s Peak’ last year that was really good,” Constance White, sophomore, said. “It was about this volcano going off on this island, and the people were trying to survive. One of the people on the island was a volcano expert or something, so I learned a lot about volcanoes and how they work. There was a dog in the movie too, so that made me invested. I thought it was a pretty good movie for school.”
