As the school year comes to an end, seniors become less motivated to come to school.
Senioritis is a common term used to describe the decline in motivation and academic performance among seniors as graduation approaches.
“I am definitely finding it harder and harder to come to school every day,” Kennedy Hanks, senior, said. “Honestly, I am not really procrastinating; just making it to school is what I struggle with.”
“I thought I would procrastinate more since we’re closer to graduation, but I turn my work in on time because it brings me closer to leaving high school if I just finish it on time,” Emma Hodnett, senior, said. “I find it harder to come to school every day, and I’m not motivated to come to school every day either.”
“I am sick of this place,”Alex Smotherman, senior, said. “I’m not procrastinating too badly either… just with my virtual class, because I hate it.”
“I am tired of school, everybody here, and I am tired of doing work,” senior Jaliyah Witcher said. “I only have one exam, but I’m so close to asking if I can take it early just so I can be out of here sooner.”
“I am overly over school; words can not even explain it,” Semiyah Royal, senior, said. “I usually stay out on the weekends to have a good time, but I instantly regret it when I remember we still have school the following week.
