Faculty and students have enjoyed a good experience at school.
“I have been working here for many years, and I have made many friends,” Mrs. Rebecca Parsons, science teacher, said. “The school is great at making everyone feel accepted.
“I plan to work here until retirement and I want to become a world traveler,” Parsons said.
Some teachers were themselves students previously.
“I was a student at Chatham, and now I am a teacher here,” Dr. Rebecca Hodnett, history chair, said. “I consider myself to be a social butterfly; I like to make all students feel welcome.
“When I retire, I want to do something fun and relaxing.”
Students also like the school.
“My experience so far at Chatham has been a journey,” Tessie Hazelwood, freshman, said. “I have made a few friends but is open to making more; I think the environment is welcoming to me and my siblings.”
Some students are very unhappy.
“I find the school environment excruciatingly disappointing, and have not made any friends,” Mikey Hazelwood, sophomore, said. “But I don’t want any, because I am dropping out and becoming a police officer in a few months.”
