Halloween is a popular celebration day for students, but for some, it is controversial.
“Halloween is my favorite holiday because I love scary things,” Rayleigh Emerson, ninth grader, said. “I also like to watch scary movies on Halloween; The Tarot is my favorite.”
Others believe that Halloween is a demonic holiday and shouldn’t be celebrated.
“I think Halloween is the devil’s holiday because it’s surrounded by scary movies and spiritual things,” Linzy Bowen, freshman, said. ” I celebrate the holiday in my own Christian way, and I think everyone should [celebrate in their own way], too. I don’t go trick or treating anymore.”
People in town and in the county put up decorations and search for Halloween costumes.
