The inner workings of the 2025 Interact Club.
Interact Club is a club where students can be involved in the community and develop leadership skills.
The club has been active for many years. Before Mrs. Allison Puckett, science teacher, took over the club Mrs. Rebecca Parsons, science teacher, was the club sponsor.
“I think this is a great opportunity for students to take initiative in their school and community.” This is her first year as the Interact Club sponsor.
Interact Club helps the community in many ways.
“I provide lists of service learning projects – like cleaning up after volleyball and basketball games, and trash pickups in front of the school,” Puckett said.
A project they want to do in the future is sponsoring angel tree children around Christmas time.
“I think it is so important that students understand the importance of giving back to the community and cultivating emotional awareness,” Puckett said.
In the spring, the club plans on participating in a volleyball powder-puff game.
Students were able to join the Interact Club in September if they paid $10.00 to Puckett in room E102. This opportunity will open up again in January.
