Shoe brands are hyped among high school students.
When it comes to shoes, everyone has an opinion—especially about which brands are worth the hype.
From comfort to style, students have plenty to say about the best and worst shoes out there.
“I love Nike because their shoes are comfortable and last a long time,” Hunter Driggers, sophomore said . “They look good with pretty much anything, and I can wear them to class or to practice.”
Nike often tops the list for both performance and style, but not everyone feels the same.
“Ariat shoes are my favorite,” Gabe Wishnevsky, freshman, said. “They might not be the prettiest, but they’re super comfortable and easy to wear anywhere.”
While some students praised sporty or casual brands, others had strong opinions about what not to wear.
“I can’t stand Jordan shoes,” Rayshaun Cobbs, sophomore, said. “They’re overpriced and are very uncomfortable; I don’t get the hype.”
Even popular brands like Adidas got mixed reviews.
“I used to love Adidas, but lately their shoes just don’t feel as good ,” Ariyana Bradley, sophomore said. “Some Adidas are cute, but the slides are not.”
Style doesn’t matter without comfort.
