The Dollar General in Chatham is overstocked, the employees are overworked, and expired food is on the shelves.

Dollar General has struggled through the pandemic. Employee retention has been difficult.

The employees are being overworked because of staffing issues.  They can not get everything that they need to get done on their shift because of how much stock there is to be put up. Employees are constantly required to stop stocking in order to check people out at the cash register.

There is expired food on the shelves from 2020 because the store has been so understaffed there has been no way to rotate stock properly.

Customers complain about low stock. Others complain about the prodigious amount of boxes of stock on the floor blocking the aisles.
