Abby Owen is in the Senior Spotlight of the week.

Abby Owen  is very athletic and has been playing sports ever since she was a little girl.

She is apart of FCA, FFA,  and Beta at Chatham. She has been on the varsity softball team for four years. She has been on the JV volleyball team for two years and varsity volleyball team for two years. She also plays on a travel softball team that is called Synergy.  She has played with them for seven years. She also played travel volleyball for one year. “I really love sports; they keep me going.  Softball is my favorite sport,” said Owen.

Outside of school she is apart of a Christian youth group called Young Life. “I really love this group we travel an go on retreats to Rockridge and Windy Gap; going to the gym and Bible study are other things I enjoy doing outside of school” she said.

After high school Abby plans to go to Averett University in the fall to major in aviation and minor in either psychology or criminal justice.
