Chatham vs. Magna Vista
The Chatham Varsity baseball team had a double header against Magna Vista on Monday.
The final score of the first game was 5-2 with the Warriors defeating the Cavaliers.
Alex Van Pelt was the starting pitcher and had 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Carrington Aaron was the relief pitcher and had 4 strikeouts. Henry Hurt went 2-3 with a RBI, Jake Moore went 1-2 and had a single; Cam Satterfield went 1-3 with a RBI; and Colby Owen had a RBI.
The final score of the second game was 3-0 with the Cavaliers winning.
Kennen Lewis pitched a no hitter game with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. “It felt good; it was my first time ever doing it, so it was a big deal,” said Lewis.
Hurt went 2-3 with a RBI, Dawson Newell went 1-3 with a double and RBI; Owen went 1-2; Van Pelt and Zander Cornell both went 1-2.
The Cavaliers’s next game is Friday, March 25 at Nelson County.
