Many people tend to get dental braces at an early age.
Teens says that braces can be painful.
“I got braces in the sixth grade and had them for about four years,” Johanna Witcher, senior, said. “I used to enjoy getting my colors changed; I would mainly get neon colors like pink and green. When I would go get them tightened, the aftermath was terrible; my mouth would hurt for like three days,” Witcher, said.
“I loved my braces; I had them for two years,” Alyssa King, sophomore, said. “I feel like they made me look better and the main colors I had were black and blue. Another thing I really loved about my braces was being able to have power-chains,” King, said.
“I personally loved my braces because they are what made my face cute,” Ma’Khayiah Hariston, sophomore, said. “When I used to be ugly and they never caused me any pain and on top of that I still ate everything even the stuff I wasn’t supposed to eat. The colors I loved the most were black, pink, and red,” Hairston, said.
“I got mine my junior year, and I don’t really like them,” Xence Rodgers, senior, said. “I can’t wait to get them off; They are not that painful like people say they are. I loved the color navy blue and lavender purple,” Rodgers said.
