FFA National Competition
A CHS freshman brought home a third place win and $500 after competing in the National FFA Convention.
Nathan Paris competed in Indianapolis, IN, for agriscience.
His project consisted of incubating chicken eggs at different temperatures to see if it made a difference in the eggs’ hatching rate. The chicken eggs stored in the refrigerator didn’t hatch.
“I have my own chickens and was curious,” said Nathan which is what sparked his winning idea.
With nearly 475 competitors, Nathan did not expect to win but he was “confident in the work he did,” said Nathan.
Nathan plans on continuing his research in the same category but a different project this year.
