Faculty and students had to adjust to SmartPasses this school year.
The majority of teachers approve of the new system.
“I think it cuts down on students roaming the halls; it is easier to track where they are and is safer,” Mrs. Kimberly Dooley, history department, said.
“I think it is a great way to keep the students safe. I think the SmartPasses are a great way to encourage that,” Coach Marcus Clements said.
“I like how it keeps the bathroom more accessible throughout the day,” Tristan Hernandez, a senior, said.
There are those who disapprove of the passes.
“The school should give females more time to use the bathroom; it’s not fair to give females the same amount of time as the males,” an anonymous junior said.
“When I set a pass, sometimes it doesn’t alert me which causes a student to accidentally go over their limit when it wasn’t their fault,” a faculty member said.
