Student Body Rocks Out

Most high school students love music, and if there’s one thing they love more it’s going to see their favorite bands live in concert.

A lot of students show interest in country music, with artists such as Morgan Wallen, Zach Bryan, and Brantley Gilbert among the favorites.

“There was a lot of energy at the Zach Bryan concert in Greensboro, NC, recently.  It was pretty crowded, but everyone was having a good time,” said Dylan Buchanan.

“It was an experience of a lifetime when I saw Morgan Wallen in Bristol. The atmosphere was very hyped,” said Braelyn Heath, sophomore.

Some students have had once-in-a-lifetime experiences with artists because the artists are retiring. Ava Miller, sophomore, saw former Beatles star Paul McCartney in Wake Forest, NC. She said, “Because of the terrible crowds, getting in was hard. Other than that, it was a truly great experience, and I know I’ll probably never see him again with how old he’s getting.”

In 2020, a lot of concerts were postponed or even cancelled. Many students are just glad to get back to normalcy so they can go back to enjoying the music they love.
