With the school year coming to a close, many students are looking at classes to take next year.
Students are looking at harder English, history, and science classes along with other language classes.
AP United States History (APUSH) is a common history class that many eleventh and twelfth graders can take.
“I love it. Dr. Rebecca Hodnett is a great teacher and helps us get very involved into history,” Leah Oakes, junior, said. “I’m honestly quite nervous for the AP Exam that students can take at the end of the class.”
“I thought about taking it, but after seeing how stressed some students are for the exam, I’ll have to pass,” Elijah Livengood, sophomore, said. “I think they wouldn’t be as stressed if they paid attention and focused a bit more; the class seems like it’s just overall difficult.”
AP World Literature and AP Language Arts are both common English classes that are quite challenging.
“You have to stay on top of what work you’re assigned,” Luis Solis, junior, said. “I had an F at the end of the first half of this semester; I was way behind, and I’m still slightly catching up.”
“I’m definitely taking AP Lit next year,” Oakes, said. “Mrs. Corwin, the teacher, told us it was actually slightly easier.”
