Kaitlyn Bowen is in this week’s senior spotlight.

Kaitlyn has a job at Golden Skillet. “I work between 3-4 days a week,” she said.

She enjoys doing many things outside of school, but one is hanging out with her friends and spending quality time with her family. “During the summer, I really enjoy traveling,” said Bowen.

Kaitlyn has some things she’ll miss about high school. “I’ll definitely miss the teachers, the people who made me laugh, and the fun events we had, such as pep rally and football games,” she said. “Something I won’t miss will be the dress code and bathroom passes.”

“My favorite class throughout high school was Mrs. Corwin’s AP Lit and AP Lang because she treats us like we’re adults and with respect,” said Bowen. “I also loved Miss Reid’s class because she made it so much fun.”

Kaitlyn feels as if Covid messed up some of her high school experience. “I feel like it made it go by a lot quicker, and I didn’t get to experience as many pep rallies, football games, and days together with my classmates,” she said.

As of right now, she is unsure about what she is going to do after high school but is excited to see what is ahead.
