Many students enjoy receiving flowers.
“My favorite flowers are buttercups because they are yellow,” Leah Oakes, junior, said. “Every year, my grandpa would sneak out to a secret field and surprise my grandma with them so they are meaningful to my family.”
“My favorite flowers are peonies because they’ve been my favorite since I was little because they were the first flowers I received as a kid,” Ma’Khayiah Hariston, junior, said.
“My favorite flower is a daffodil because they come back every year,” Harlie Brooks, senior, said.
Some students enjoy giving flowers instead.
“I like to get my partner purple flowers,” Allana Plummer, sophomore, said. “She loves purple flowers because purple is her favorite color, and I got them for her for Valentine’s Day.”
“I got my girlfriend a nice bouquet of a bunch of flowers for Valentines Day,” Cole Estep, junior, said. “I can’t say she’s got a specific favorite flower, though.”
“My mom owns a flower business so I deliver people’s bouquets to them all the time,” Oakes, said. “Their flowers brighten up their day!”
