Most students and staff enjoyed a favorite childhood movie or show growing up.
Watching princess movies was a popular choice for girls to watch growing up.
“My favorite childhood movie was ‘Tangle,'” Sara Carannante, freshman, said. “She reminded me of myself because of the long hair. I was first introduced to ‘Tangle’ when I was in preschool; at the age of four. I still watch it to this day.”
“I liked to watch ‘Elena of Avalor’ growing up,” Loren Witcher, sophomore, said. “I liked princesses. I was 10-years-old when I was introduced to ‘Elena of Avalor.'” My cousin was watching it one day, and it caught my attention. I don’t watch it anymore, but I still love it.”
“‘Tangle’ was my favorite,” Mia Popolo, freshman, said. “Rapunzel was my favorite princess. I first watched it when I was five years old. My mom put it on the TV to entertain me so I could stop crying. After that I just kept asking to watch it. I still watch it from time to time.”
Some students and staff preferred animal movies growing up.
“‘Wild Kartts’ was my favorite show,” Jaysean Barley, freshman, said. “I really liked animals. The show really interested me. When I was seven, my first grade teacher showed it to my class one day, and I just kept watching it after that. I don’t watch it anymore even though I really enjoyed watching it when I was younger.”
“I used to watch ‘Wild Kratts’ growing up,” Nadia Rigney, freshman, said. ” I really liked animals growing up, and I loved to learn about them, too. I was around five years old, when I first watched it. I was watching TV and it came on and caught my attention. I don’t watch it anymore, but I would still watch it today if I had time too.”
Others grew up watching science fantasy.
“‘Star Wars’ was my favorite show to watch,” Mr. Tate, Digital Applications teacher, said. “My dad was a big Star Wars fan. Then when it came to the movies, my dad took me with him to watch, and I just fell in love with it. I was eight-years-old when I watched it. I still watch it from time to time, like if I do a marathon or binge watch.”
