The end of the school year is near, and seniors are getting closer to the conclusion of their undergraduate education.
“High school started off rocky, but overtime things started falling into place,” Sydney Ward said. “It has been a real eye opener and taught me a lot. I have been going to CHS since the ninth grade. Mr. P. Riley and Mr. Farr had a big impact on me over my high school career. They have always made me feel welcome in their classes. The hardest part of high school for me was staying out of drama and maintaining good grades while taking advanced classes. I have been a part of the Beta Club, Lady Cavs Soccer/Basketball Team. I’m going to miss all the bonds I have created and being a part of the Lady Cavaliers Varsity Basketball Team.”
“My high school experience was pretty good,” Emily Hankins said. “I have made a lot of friends who I will keep after high school. Mr. Holden had the greatest impact on me because on exam day I was the only one that came and I stayed in his class and watched the Jaws franchise. Going through eleventh grade was the hardest part. I was a part of the varsity cheer team. I’m going to miss the senior class because most of us started together in elementary and now we have to separate.”
“High school was good,” Jakiyah Giggetts said. “I have been going to Chatham since middle school. Mr. Riley and Mrs. Hall helped me a lot and kept pushing me when I was ready to give up. The hardest part of high school for me was the teachers and getting along with people. I was a part of the girls’ basketball team. Basketball and the people I hung out with were my favorite part of high school. I’m going to miss being around my friends the most.”
“High school was pretty tricky but worth it.” Meagan Yeatts said. “Mr. Riley had the greatest impact on me over the last four years; he was able to see my potential and work with me at my place and help me with extra credit to pull up my grade. My sophomore to my junior year was the hardest because of all the work. I played softball all through high school and played volleyball for two years. My favorite memories of high school were the games we played like during pep rally because of the energy.”
