Life After Highschool

High school students often begin worrying and planning about their lives after graduation.

Some want to head to college either near or far. “When I go to college, I would love to go to Virginia Tech or Saint Augustine,” said Cory Vannewkirk, sophomore.

“When I go to college, I want to go to Danville Community College,” said Tyler Calloway, sophomore.

“I do not know what college I want to go to yet, but when I do go to college, I want to go to a nice one to get my education,” said Mar’Dashia Starling, freshman.

Some make their choices according to what they enjoy or excel at doing. “My two academic strengths are math and history,” said Starling. “My academic weakness is English.”

“My academic strength is math,” said Vannewkirk. “My academic weaknesses are English and history.”

Some struggle with specific subjects and some do not. “My academic strength is math,” said Calloway. “My academic weaknesses is history.”

All students need different degrees for different opportunities. “I want to go to college to get a degree in engineering,” said Vannewkirk.

“I want to go to college to get a bachelor’s degree,” said Calloway.

“The reason I want to go to college is to emphasize my academic interests,” said Starling.
