Senior Night is a night held to honor the seniors’ last year on a sports team.

Chatham High held their Senior Night for the girls’ basketball team and ACE team recently.

“Senior Night is important to me because it’s my one special night to be recognized during my last year of school,” said Trinity Brooks, senior.

The seniors were both emotional and ecstatic about their special night.

Their underclass teammates were just as emotional than the players.

“I couldn’t stop crying. I have been with these girls everyday for the past few months. It’s hard to grasp the concept of them leaving, but I’m happy for them,” said Sydney Ward, freshman.

The gym was beautifully decorated by the JV girls.

It was full of pictures, posters, balloons, and more decorations.

“The decorations really topped off the night. It was nice to see me and my teammates’ pictures on the wall,” said Jaliyah Word, senior.

The Lady Cavs also won their game against Altavista 42-22.

With the support of loving friends and family, the beautiful decorations, and the accomplishment of another win, senior night was definitely one for the books for these ladies.
