The journey from freshman year to senior year feels like it happened in the blink of an eye.
“When I look back on freshman year, I feel happiness because I was once a young, carefree, kid when life wasn’t serious, “Martavione Younger, senior, said. ” My favorite memory has got to be hanging with my brothers before we all fell out. I would tell my freshman self to start being more involved and that Chatham is trash. I think my attitude has changed mostly about me; I’m more caring now. ”
“I feel happy about my freshman year because I created lots of fun memories with my homies,” Cam Tucker, senior, said. ” The best memory has to be the pregame meals we had and talking with the D1 seniors. Advice I give to my freshman self is to keep being yourself, keep working hard, and take risks when chasing your dreams. What changed about me was losing my hair, then gaining my confidence in being who I am. ”
As graduation approaches, seniors are beginning to feel a sense of nostalgia from where it all began.
“Looking back on freshman year, I feel unsatisfied because I lost a lot of friends and life became real, ” Cole Barbour, senior, said. ” I miss gym class the most from freshman year because our gym teacher was cool, and I had a lot of fun. My advice is to give your heart to Jesus. My demeanor and mentality changed the most since freshman year. ”
“When I look back on freshman year, I feel sad because it is so far away from now, “Marckayveon Martin, senior, said. ” I’d say my favorite memory from freshman year has to be gym because of the free time we had 24/7. What I would tell my freshman self if I had the chance would be to not be as shy and come out of my shell. I am now more open to conversations, which I wasn’t my freshman year.
