Since I was a little kid, the sound of a bouncing basketball is music to my ears.
Basketball isn’t just a sport to me; it’s something that helps me clear my mind.
I want to push myself to be better every day.
The best days are when I’m shooting around the park with my friends, practicing drills after school, or playing in real games, I always feel at home on the court.
I love how basketball brings people together. My friend agrees.
“When I’m on the court, it gives me a sense of unity or togetherness, ” Braylon Logan, senior, said.
Basketball has taught me so much about hard work, discipline, and perseverance. I agree with my mentor, the late Kobe Bryant.
“You will never reach success without failure, ” the late Kobe Bryant, former Lakers shooting guard, said.
Basketball is a passion, a teacher, and a lifelong reminder that with dedication and heart, anything is possible, I think.
“Some people want it to happen, some people wish it could happen, others make it happen,” my grandfather, Bruce Reynolds, said, quoting Michael Jordan. This is how I want to live my life.
