As the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year comes to a close, many seniors are feeling mixed emotions.
Some seniors are feeling excited that the second semester is about to begin because it means graduation is around the corner.
Others are not ready for the second semester to start because they do not want high school to be over.
Still others are in between.
Some seniors cannot wait for the semester to be over.
“I have been here for so long, I am tired of seeing the same school and people everyday,” Jakiyah Giggetts said. “I am ready to see new people and new places.”
“I have been in school for 12 years which feels entirely too long,” Hannah Talbard said. “I am looking forward to being an adult and not having to sit at a school desk everyday.”
“I come to this place everyday feeling miserable,” Anasyia Redd said. “I think over the years of high school the administration has declined and made school a less fun environment.
Other students don’t want the semester to ever end.
“I am going to miss high school solely because I will miss seeing my friends everyday,” Ashley Gonzalez said. “I will also miss my favorite teachers that I have created a good relationship with.”
“I will miss the friends I have made and the people I get to see everyday that I won’t get to see once we graduate,” Greenleigh Stewart said.
