Sophomore Students Career Choices

Buffing the paint is an important part of working on the body of a car.
Students are taught to use a curling iron when they go to hair stylist school.

Students need a plan for the future after graduation.

Some already have made decisions although they are two years away.

“I would like to be in auto body,” Harlie Brooks, sophomore said. “I like working on vehicles and making them look nice, “Brooks said. “I plan to go through PCTC and do some training after school,” Brooks said.

Interestingly, Brooks also wants to work with people.

” I would choose to be a chiropractor cause I like giving people massages,” Brooks said.

Another student already has their career planned.

“I would like to do cosmetology,” Maya Lowe, sophomore, said. “Well, because I was inspired by my cousin and like being creative with hair,” Lowe said. “I’m going to go to college and take some classes. Then I will do some practice on manikins. I also want to open a hair salon,” Lowe said. “I would also be a teacher because I want to help kindergarten kids color, learn their ABCs, and help them learn,” Lowe said.
