Freshmen dream about their future jobs early.
“I used to want to be a cosmetologist,” Sofia Hernandez, freshman, said. “But now I want to be an immigration attorney. I want to help immigrants so that they are not deported.”
Other students picture careers focused on their current activities.
“I want to be a professional baseball player,” Gabe Wishnevsky, freshmen, said. “They pay really well, and it’s something I enjoy doing.”
Even with so many different dreams, students want control over their own futures.
“My parents want me to be a doctor to help people,” Ariyanna Bradley, freshmen, said. “But I want to be an architect instead.”
“I think working in law enforcement would be cool,” Gia Garland, freshmen, said. “Especially being a detective;Ii love solving things, and I think I would be good at it.”
Some students aren’t focused on one idea yet.
“I’m still trying to figure it out; there’s so much to choose from,” Autumn France, freshmen, said. “I just want to find something I’m excited about and pays a decent amount.”
