Cold temperatures swept through Chatham this week, surprising everyone with freezing mornings and heavy winds that made the start of Monday feel challenging.
Over the past few days, Chatham has experienced some of the coldest weather of the year so far.
“It’s so cold outside; I can’t feel my body,” Kobe Reynolds, senior, said.
“Cold weather is the cause of bad days,” Amber Blevins, senior, said.
Early mornings had freezing temperatures, frosted windshields, and the need to dress extra warmly before leaving home.
“I hate cold weather; I’m a hothouse flower,” Brandy Durham. art teacher, said.
Many people said the wind made the cold feel even worse, especially while waiting for buses or walking into school.
Students bundled in coats, gloves, and drank warm drinks and are prepared for more snow days ahead.
