The idea of having a superpower invites kids to dive into their creative imagination.
Super speed is a common dream super power.
“Super speed is my dream superpower because I can do everything I want,” Sanaa Badgett, sophomore, said. “I would use my superpower to run to California, protect the city, and improve my life. If I was a superhero, I would keep my identity hidden to protect those around me. I feel like these powers would make my life easier because I’d have all the time in the world.”
Invisibility serves as a superpower of pure stealth.
“I would choose invisibility so I can spy on people,” Melody Hyler, freshman, said. “When I put my powers to use, I would prank Meagan Yeatts, and protect people from being talked about. I would stay a secret so people don’t know that I could be anywhere. Invisibility would make my life easier because I could know who my real friends are.”
Flying allows for an immediate ascent to the top.
“I pick flying as my superpower because I wouldn’t have to waste energy standing,” Meagan Yeatts, senior, said. “If I had the power to fly I would fly in the outfield during my softball games, protect, and improve the world from danger. If there were villains in the world or like freak scientists then I would stay a secret so my body doesn’t get tested. This power would make my life easier because I could reach higher places.”
Another interesting power is teleportation.
“My dream superpower is teleportation because I don’t have to pay to go somewhere,” Brook Deak, sophomore, said. “I would use my powers to teleport to the Bahamas with my family and boyfriend, and protect people from danger. I would stay a secret so I don’t get tested for having powers. Teleportation would make my life easier because I wouldn’t have to pay for gas or plane tickets.”
Manipulation is a psychological superpower.
“My choice is manipulation so I can control people,” Naomi Gregory, junior, said. “I would use my powers to manipulate the school that I’m at school but I’m not, protect society from evil, but take the world in a good way. I’d try to keep my powers a secret but it may come out eventually but I really hate attention so I would try my hardest to keep it a secret. My powers would make my life way easier because I can manipulate anyone to believe and do anything I say.”
