Shopping for shoes is a memory for some people.
Some people don’t often remember their first pair of shoes.
“The first pair of shoes I’ve worn were called Stride-rite,” Mrs. Melissa Gary, Spanish teacher, said.
“There was a pair of shoes I’ve always wanted since I was a kid and my parents eventually got them for me; they were a pair of Jelly Sandals,” Ms. Amanda Louise Keith, math teacher, said.
Some struggle with the correct fit.
” In-person shoe shopping is recommended rather than shoe shopping online because you wouldn’t really have a clue if you have the right size or not unless you know so,” Gery said.
“In-person is what I would choose in my opinion because I can try on the shoes and see if they’re comfortable,” School Resource Officer Silas Crews, said.
“If it’s a brand I know I would shop for them, but particularly if it’s for formal dresses I would shop shoes in-person,” Keith said. “I have large feet so I have to look for sizes 9-11, but I can shop online for a pair of shoes because they typically have my sizes there,” Keith said.
Shoes prices can be prohibitive.
“I have bought a pair of expensive heels because they were in fashion; unfortunately they were not comfortable, so they definitely were not worth it,” Gery said.
” The most I spent were a pair of nice leather boots. They cost me like $300 dollars, and they were a pair of Hokas,” Keith said.
