A former CHS student has just placed in the top 100 in a national track competition.

Caleb Wright, Class of 2020, ranked 59 out of 318 other runners. He competed in an 8K race and had a time of 25:05 on Oct. 1 in Louisville, KY. Wright beat his former best time of 25:52 by 47 seconds.

Wright was very close to becoming All-American.

Runners must place in the top 40 to qualify as All-American. A time of 24:55 was required for Wright to place; he missed by 10 seconds away from placing as an All-American. Wright had a few troubles before this race; he was recovering from an injury from January; he partially tore his Achilles tendon.

Wright attends Montreat College in Montreat, NC.  Montreat is in Division Two of the NCCAA National Christian College Athletic Association. The college is also a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics NAIA.
