Affordable Valentine’s Day Date Ideas

Valentine’s Day dates can be tricky during this terrible economy, but there are affordable options.

Valentine’s Day is on a Tuesday this year; maybe restaurants and theatres won’t be as busy as on a weekend, but it would be wise to secure tickets or reservations early to make sure there is a place for you and your date.

1. Danville Stadium Cinemas- On Tues., Feb. 14, Danville Cinemas will play movies  Knock at the Cabin and 80 For Brady. Movie tickets cost $11 per adult.

2. Chick-Fil-A heart trays:  Starting Tues., Jan.  31, Chick-Fil-A will sell aluminum, heart-shaped trays filled with chicken nuggets for Valentine’s Day for $28.50; Chick-n-minis trays for $16.50; and half a dozen chocolate chunk cookies $6.65.

3. Valentine’s Day Ball- Sat., Feb. 11, there will be a Valentine’s Day Ball on 760 W Main St, Danville. The event will be held by the Robinson’s Foundation and The Starlet Cheerleaders. Tickets start at $10 a couple and $5 for singles.
