This week’s Senior Spotlight is on Harlie Brooks.
Senior year is full of emotions and memories.
“My senior year has been okay,” said Brooks. “The classes are easy, but the hardest part is preparing for my future goals.”
“My favorite part this year is how laid back it is, it’s not stressful,” said Brooks. “My classes are easier this year.”
There are many clubs that seniors can be involved in.
“I am involved in the Interact Club and Kindness Club,” said Brooks.
There are many events for Brooks to look forward to in her senior year.
“I’m looking forward to hanging out with my friends at prom and hopefully hanging out with Ashley soon,” said Brooks.
Brooks has mixed emotions about graduation.
“I’m happy and nervous to graduate, but I know I’ll be happy to see my friends walk across the stage,” said Brooks. “I’ll miss the connections I’ve made. I won’t see my friends much or at all, and I won’t see my favorite teachers, like Mrs. Bishop, Ms. Stafford, or Mrs. Williams. They make high school fun and knowing I might not talk to them ever is rough.”
Brooks has her future after high school planned out.
“I plan on going to trade school for electrical work,” said Brooks.
Brooks is excited and nervous about the future.
“I’m excited for the adventures, but Mrs. Bishop once told me ‘It doesn’t get easier, it gets different and that I needed a reality check’,” said Brooks.
