Summer break is widely loved by almost everyone.
“I like summer because I get to go to Surfside beach, and I’m super excited for it; I’ve never been,” Rachel Corwin, English teacher, said.
Some people don’t like summer break.
“Personally, when I’m on summer break I feel bored; if I had stuff to do or places to go like Myrtle Beach then I wouldn’t be as bored,” Brandon Brooks, sophomore, said.
Some very popular things for people to do over summer are things like beach trips, cruises, or just visiting places for family or sites.
“I’m going on a Disney cruise that goes to Mexico; then I’m going to Costa Rica because I have never been and want to see how pretty it is,” Melissa Gery, Spanish teacher, said.
Some say that summer break makes them happier and more relaxed.
“I love summer because I don’t have to wake up early for school,” Katelyn Gatewood, freshman, said. “School has an effect on you; either it takes away from your mental health or it helps you feel more productive during the day, but summer is a time to relax and forget about the English homework you forgot to do and that F in the grade book. Summer helps you in so many ways you just have to find out which way it helps you.”
