Some students have special self-care strategies to help themselves relax after stressful weeks.
“I usually take a weekly self-care night when I have the time,” Sara Carannante, freshman, said. “I do a face mask, exfoliate my skin, wax my eyebrows, do a hair mask, and then I blow out my hair.”
“I typically do self-care nights once a week,” Mia Popolo, freshman, said. “I always have an everything shower, self-tan, exfoliate, and push myself back into a good schedule.”
“I occasionally have self-care nights,” Katelyn Gatewood, freshman, said. “I do all different types of things; it just depends on what I have. Most of the time, my self-care nights consist of face masks and an everything shower.”
“Sometimes I do a self-care night, it just depends on how I’m feeling,” Tensley Davis, freshman, said. “I usually just do my skin care and then watch a movie or show.”
Self-care nights help students feel more relaxed and ready for the week ahead.
“It can be hard trying to balance school and personal life at the same time,” Sara Carannante, freshman, said. “My self-care usually helps me relax.”
“It is extremely difficult to balance school and home, especially when I am always at dance,” Mia Popolo, freshman, said. “When I have self-care nights, I feel way more relaxed, and I always sleep so much better than I did before.”
“Trying to turn all of my work in on time makes me really stressed,” Katelyn Gatewood, freshman, said. “Taking the time to have a self-care night helps to lessen my stress.”
“Sometimes it gets hard balancing home and school, especially if my schedule is busy,” Tensley Davis, freshman, said. “I love self-care nights because I can sit down and relax.”
