If money did not matter, some students would change their career paths.
Students have dream careers they would do if the salary they would make would not effect their livelihoods.
“If money didn’t matter, I would be a stay at home mom because that’s all I want to do,” Peyton Owen, junior, said. “I just want to raise my kids.”
Other students wanted to be teachers.
“I would be a teacher and help young children pursue their dreams,” Brandon Brooks, sophomore, said.
Another said something similar.
“If money did not influence my career decision, I would be a teacher so I could share my knowledge to benefit society,” Emily Shelhorse, sophomore, said. “I plan to be an accountant since money does matter, and I like numbers and finances.”
One student would be a mathematician if money did not play a role in his decision.
“I am going to be an electrician, but if money did not matter I would be a mathematician,” Neal Barker, sophomore, said.
One student shared that she would chose the same career either way.
“I either want to be on Broadway and write my own shows or become a marine biologist,” Eva Ince, junior, said. “Even though I need money, I am still going to try and pursue one of those careers.”
