As the final bells ring, students scream with excitement.
“My favorite memory from this school year has to be starting cheer, and I was looking forward to Friday night lights every week, ” Mariana Diez-Nunez, junior, said. ” The advice I give to the upcoming juniors would be to lock in; it’s easier to do you work when you first get it rather than to procrastinate on it. This summer I can’t wait to hang out with my closest friends and cause chaos. This school year I think I grew socially. I’ve made new friends with people I would’ve never expected and tried new things. Overall, my grades have made an insane improvement. ”
“This school year I enjoyed meeting new people and learning new stuff, ” Saniyah Polk, junior, said. ” The advice I give is to be present the most you can because work can build up overtime. Over summer I can’t wait to start my new job and go on vacations. I think I grew tremendously this year. I’ve tried out new classes while being encouraged by the people around me trying to help me improve my work and grades. ”
The anticipation from the warm weather tends to break students focus in school.
“My number one memory was prom; it was absolutely amazing, ” Cole Estep, junior, said. ” The advice I give is to do it the best because you only live once. This summer I can’t wait to learn how to swim. I’d say I grew to make the most out of things and to be outside more.
“My top memory from this school year has to be the day we had mac’ ‘n cheese for lunch, ” Markayvion Martin, senior, said. ” My advice is to do the best you can to get it over with and don’t play about your grades; they’re important. I’m looking forward to chilling on the beach this summer. I think I’ve grown because I’m more social, but I’ve also learned how to stay to myself. “
