There is a need for more and better club options for more students to engage.
“I’m in Beta Club and FBLA,” Lauren Coleman, a freshman, said. “But I would be in more Clubs if there were better options like drama, debate, a photography club; and if tennis were an option for a sport, I would definitely join the team.”
“I’m in Beta Club, but next year I’ll be in more clubs because I need four for Graduate of Merit,” Nadia Rigney, a freshman, said. “I think they definitely need a book club here, and debate and drama are good options too.”
“I’m in Beta Club,” Kyle Crawford, a freshman, said. “I think they need more options that are centered around STEM, like a robotics team.”
Some students think the clubs we have now are boring.
“The club options here are just kinda boring and basic,” Madi Jarvis, a freshman, said. “I think if I were to invent a club or sport, it would include unicycling, and it would either have people riding them and fighting each other with swords or playing basketball on unicycles.”
“I’m not in any clubs at the moment because none of them interest me,” Lennon Rasche, a freshman, said. “If I were to create a club, it would be called the geopolitical club that includes students sharing their opinions on the politics around the world.”
While others wish there are clubs that are useful.
“I’m in the Kindness Club,” Aileen Gonzalez, a freshman, said. “I think there should be an art club to let people who aren’t in art class show their creativity through art.”
“I’m in Beta, Interact Club, and I’m on the track and cheer team,” Roselynn Richard, a freshman, said. “I think they should have a Study Club or an option for study groups, because when I’m at school or in a school setting, I feel more productive in accomplishing studying and doing homework.”
