Summer is a time where students get to relax from the fast pace of studies and the relentless school drama.
Some love the break, but others think the length is fine as is.
“Summer break should be longer than it is,” Leah Waggoner, freshman, said. “Summer break should be way longer than two months; it should be like four months so it actually feels like a break for the students and actually gives them times to relax and rejuvenate themselves. Most people don’t realize it goes away really fast for students.”
“I love summer break, but it should be longer,” Kytara Owens, freshman, said. “Summer break used to be longer before they shortened it,and now it’s two months. I know some people might not think it’s not that serious or it’s not that bad, but two months is not actually that long and goes away faster than you think. It feels like it’s over in the blink of an eye.”
Some say live it like it is.
“I love summer break. It gives me time to spend time with my friends,” Madison Busby, sophomore, said. “I feel like two months is good enough because it’s not too long and not to short, and I don’t think it should be any longer. It’s the perfect amount of time for students to get a break and the prepare the the next upcoming school year.”
