Students and faculty would like to have different options and longer times for school lunches.
“The lines are long; I never have enough time,” Mrs. Melissa Gery, Spanish teacher, said.
“School lunch is okay, but not the best,” Brianna Powell, freshman, said. “My favorite is the tomato soup they offer with the grilled cheese; I love tomato soup. I bring lunch with chips and candy. I like the convenience of school lunch.”
In spite of the free lunch option, many people bring their own lunch with chips, sandwich, salad, or leftovers.
The school lunch may be free for students but not for the teacher.
Teachers don’t get free lunches although the student body does.
“I bring my lunch everyday, even when I was in high school; it’s never been free for me,” Mrs. Makayla Woodson, math teacher, said.
“I bring salt because everything is unflavored,” Katelyn Gatewood, freshman, said.
