Food is a common enjoyment among high school students.
Students have different tastes in restaurants.
Many locally like Southern restaurants like Cookout.
“I love Cookout; there’s no food dyes or Red 40 in the food,” Cole Estep, junior, said. “In the milkshakes, they do sometimes taste like play-doh.”
“My favorite restaurant is Texas Road House because the rolls are so freaking good,” Naomi Davis, junior said.
“My favorite restaurant is Chili’s because I love their chipper dippers.” Ma’Khayiah Hairston, junior, said. “Their customer service is also really great.”
“My favorite restaurant is Applebee’s because I really like their wings,” Brayla Pickeral, freshman, said. “The workers are also really funny, I like them.”
Others like Italian restaurants.
“I like Villages because it’s real food, and it is actually quality for the money,” Devon Merricks, junior, said. “I love the meatball subs because they’re delicious and have quality ingredients.”
“My favorite restaurant is Olive Garden, but I don’t actually like Italian food,” Leah Oakes, junior, said. “I just like the artichoke dip.”
Some students like soul food restaurants.
“My favorite restaurant is Luxe Soul Food because their lamb chops are so delicious.” Allana Plumber, sophomore, said. “Their Mac ‘n Cheese is so cheesy. Their lemonade is the best lemonade ever!”
One student mentioned she liked Japanese.
“I love the Kuboto Steakhouse in Greensboro,” Mia Popolo, freshman, said. “I love the culture and the food brings it all together to make me think I’m in Japan!”
