Teachers can try and budget on school supplies, but it doesn’t often work out.
“I try to budget as much as I can because I’m not really a rich man, so you know,” Dr. Tucker Gary, mathematical teacher, said. “ I also try to buy stuff on sale. Next year I think I might stock up on paper.”
“I’m going to be honest, I don’t really budget a lot because I kind of just accept my total, so it is what it is honestly,” Mrs. Melissa Gery, Spanish teacher, said. “I don’t mind, because I pay for culture things like snacks, decorations, and cultural foods.”
“I can’t lie; I do try to save and budget as much as I can, but it doesn’t work all the time,” Ms. Amanda Louis Keith, mathematical teacher, said.
Teachers like caring for their students, as well as trying to get supplies to make sure students have things they don’t.
“I’m very aware, I was aware of students that bought things that they needed for school, so I try getting things for my class that they don’t necessarily have to get like calculators,” Tucker said.
“Honestly, I think of it [the money I spend] as being as my tithes,” Keith said.
