From classes to classes, students at CHS are beginning their final preparation for exams.
While some feel confident, others are feeling the pressure; here is how different students are approaching this year’s finals.
“Usually what I do to prepare for exams is I get my mom to help me study or I pay more attention in class,” Victoria Farthing, sophomore, said. “I might have to take two exams this year, but hopefully I can bring my grade up enough to start my summer break early. The only classes I would have to take exams in are Adv. Algebra two and biology, but if I pass biology I won’t have to take the exam, so I’m trying to study and review everything so I pass the SOL.”
“I would study for exams at least 30 minutes everyday before the exam,” Brooke Deak, sophomore, said. “As of right now I don’t have to take any exams in any one of my classes.”
“I do zero preparation for exams and just completely wing it,” Ethan Jacobs, junior, said. “I perform a lot better when I’m under pressure, and this year I have exams in all of my classes.”
“If I’m preparing for exams I usually put low music on my T.V. and I use note cards and note packets, and roughly study around 2-3 times in 40 minutes.” Jaiden Lipford, senior, said. “I have English 12 and Sociology exams that I will use the methods on to pass my exams.”
“Usually when I’m preparing for exams I study everyday for about 45 minutes and pay close attention to reviews and lessons.” JaBria Williams, freshman, said. “As of right now I have zero exams to take.”
