Be confident and comfortable in your beauty the way you want.
People shame themselves for a lot of things when it comes to beauty. They also compare themselves to others.
“I have a beauty standard in myself that I’m comfortable with; I don’t compare myself to others,” Ms. Amanda Louise Keith, math teacher, said. “I think it’s more about the different cultures that have a beauty standard. People do spend money on beauty standards, but it really depends on what type of beauty they do want.
“Like me, I spend it on my wigs for my hair loss, because now I’m confident with my wigs that wear. I know as a women my hair loss has affected me. Beauty Standards can mess people up and be hard for them,” Keith said.
Beauty Standard trends have changed a lot over the years.
“I think it has changed over from like the 2000’s until now it has become kinda low level,” Emily Hankins, senior said.
“Usually when a girl doesn’t fit the beauty standards, she feels peer-pressured by people and the Internet,” Jaiden Lipford, senior said.
