Students and faculty who plan vacations have preferences of where to find accommodations.
Most people prefer to stay in a hotel or a resort during vacation.
“I prefer to stay in a hotel,” Aaron Riley, junior, said. “My favorite is Home2Suites by Hilton. They have nice rooms with multiple bedding options so that all of my family can sleep in their own bed. They also have very nice accommodations like free breakfast, a pool, and a gym for guests.”
“My favorite hotels to stay in on vacations are the all inclusive resorts,” Mrs. Allison Puckett, science teacher, said. “All inclusive resorts have everything on site for me, and I don’t have to leave the property! I especially like that the resorts have so much for me to do, also.”
Others agree.
“I like to stay at the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts when I go on vacation,” Sydney Moss, senior, said. “They have pretty spacious condos and rooms. Everything is very nice and clean and they have many activities you can participate in and it is right on the beach.”
“My favorite hotel to stay in personally would have to be any Hilton,” Camron Polk, senior, said. “Their requirements for cleanliness and their free cookies are always fresh and taste amazing. In my opinion, they are the fanciest hotel around.”
“I prefer the Hampton Inns’ hotels,” Abigail Custer, junior, said. “I play a lot of travel softball, and I am always going somewhere that needs a hotel stay. The Hampton Inns are a very reliable hotel chain that we tend to stay at often.”
“I enjoy staying at The Breakers hotel when we visit Myrtle Beach,” Mrs. Rebecca Parsons, science teacher, said. “We normally visit for my daughter’s volleyball tournaments, and the rooms provide extra room for our family. Also, the hotel has excellent amenities, such as a pool and a water park, and an extremely convenient location, near many restaurants, shopping venues, and sports complexes.”
“My family and I usually stay at any Hilton Resort when we go on vacation because we’ve been staying at that hotel for a while now,” Naomi Gregory, junior, said. “The quality and how everything is included makes the guests feel comfortable and make their stay worth their time.”
“My favorite hotel to stay at is Outer Banks hotel suites because the rooms are very high quality and have oceanfront views,” Devon Merricks, junior, said. “I have stayed with this hotel for many years, and the service has always been very great.”
Others prefer to stay in a condo or an AirBNB.
“I would rather visit a condo on a family vacation such as Windy Hill Dunes,” Savannah Reynolds, junior, said. “I know who all lives there and has stuff already there that we can all use like things to cook. It is also more private to my knowledge.”
“My favorite place to stay is the house we rent at the beach,” Hannah Talbard, senior, said. “It has perfect views and is right on the ocean. I love being around all my family at the beach, it makes for the best vacation. I am then grateful to be blessed with an amazing beach house that is open to my family each year!”
“My family usually stays at some sort of AirBNB house with a pool,” Mykaela Logan, junior, said. “We like staying there because it’s like having your own personal spot to stay at during your vacation. You also have access to many other amenities you probably wouldn’t have at your average hotel. Being able to have a normally sized shower is a really nice feeling after the beach.”
People that are homebodies prefer to stay at home.
“I usually stay at home for vacation,” Luis Solis, junior, said. “It’s comfortable and provides a comfort no place makes me feel.”
