Summer break is coming up for students and all are excited about taking a break.
Some students have plans to go on vacation.
“I love summer break; it gives me a chance to rest from all the schoolwork,” Katelyn Gatewood, freshman, said. “My family has booked a Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas for us to go on during the summer. I am so excited to be able to see the clear water at the islands and do all the fun activities the cruise has to offer.”
Some even travel to other continents for summer break.
“My family always travels to Europe over the summer, and we visit Italy,” Sara Carannante, freshman, said. “I have a lot of family members there, so we will stay with them for a few weeks. During our time in Italy, we visit the beach and go to many different water parks. My cousins and I also love to catch crabs while we’re there.”
Some students travel to different states during their summer break instead of going to the beach.
“I love summer; it is hot, and I don’t have to worry about having school,” Khloe Taylor, freshman, said. “I am going to Tennessee with my family over summer break. We rented a cabin and are going to visit Dollywood. We go to Tennessee every year; it is a family tradition.”
