Students and staff kick off the holidays with a burst of festive cheer.
The annual Holiday Spirit Week will turn the hallways into a bright, colorful showcase of seasonal excitement.
Student Council organizes the five day event to encourage creativity, class pride, and community fun in the days leading up to winter break.
Monday starts with Mad with Plaid. Students can come to school wrapped in plaid patterns of every color.
Tuesday is “Christmas Character Day.” People can choose their favorite Christmas movie character.
Wednesday is “Wacky Sweater Day.” If it can light up, jingle, or feature a 3 D reindeer nose, it will probably appear as students unleash their tackiest, most imaginative holiday sweaters.
Thursday is “Wear Sparkles and Lights Day.” The building will shimmer as students arrive decked out in glitter, sequins, and twinkling accessories.
Friday is “Holiday Color War.” The Holiday Spirit Week will conclude with a burst of class pride as underclassmen and upperclassmen face off in a red vs. green showdown to ring in the long awaited Christmas break.
“I am happy that we are being given a Holiday Spirit week, but I wish there was a pajama day,” Sydney Moss, senior, said.
“I am looking forward to Thursday because I feel like a lot of people are going to participate since it involves glitter,” Ashley Gonzalez, senior, said.
